Personality profiling 'can give jobseekers the edge'
Jobseekers, such as those in search of sales jobs, who are able to determine their personality type will be better placed to succeed in the employment market, it has been claimed.
According to counselling company FiredUP Careers, everyone deserves a career that supports their lifestyle, interests and needs and personality profiling can help candidates achieve this.
Robin Ogden, co-founder of the group, commented that jobseekers need to use all the resources at their disposal to help them identify the types of career they are suited for and help them sell their strengths in an interview.
Fellow co-founder Chris Fogarty added: "Understanding your personality preferences is a key component in managing careers, whether you are a jobseeker, career changer or you are interested in advancing your current career."
Earlier this week, membership body The Recruitment Society stressed that graduates, such as those looking for sales jobs, should make tailored applications rather than simply send out a generic CV.
