Hobbies being used to get sales recruitment success
Over three-quarters of UK workers are taking up a hobby in order to impress sales recruitment professionals.
The Recruiter reported that 76 per cent have taken up a new interest to add more weight to their CV, with competition being fierce for employment positions.
Among the top activities were charity work, which 79 per cent opted for, while 75 per cent decided to learn to speak a foreign language and 67 per cent decided to keep their body as sharp as their mind by going to the gym.
Another two-thirds of workers are hoping to impress sales recruitment professionals by starting a new college course, while learning a new musical instrument, taking up a sport and amateur dramatics also featured as popular hobby choices.
Listing hobbies on a CV is encouraged by sales recruitment professionals as they can help demonstrate individual learning as well as teamwork and organisation skills.
