People should evaluate their goals in the New Year

Those hoping for sales recruitment success need to make sure that they are making the most of their opportunities in their 20s, according to an expert.

Carole Ann Rice, a careers and life coach who has produced a new guide with the Careers Advice Service, told people in their 20s that, by the time they are 30, they should have a clear idea of their long-term goals.

"Aim to achieve one personal and one professional short term goal before the end of each year. Take a moment to evaluate where you want to be in five years' time by thinking about what makes you tick, for example do you prefer working by yourself or with a team?" she added.

Ms Rice also advised graduates who are not sure about their career choices to consider voluntary work, which will help inform their decision and boost their confidence.

According to the Expositor, finding a new job is among the most popular resolutions which are made as we enter into a new year.
