Sleep advice for employees
People working telesales jobs may be interested in new advice from The Sleep Council.
According to the body's Jess Alexander, the desire to nap during working hours could be alleviated by getting a solid eight hours of sleep.
A survey by Crampex, a manufacturer of anti-cramp medicine, found that a fifth of people regularly get less than five hours of sleep a night, with 21 per cent claiming to regularly get eight hours.
Meanwhile, 25 per cent of respondents reported having taken time off their sales jobs in London or other positions due to exhaustion.
There is "a big difference between a short power nap to improve alertness in a busy schedule and sleeping to possibly catch up on sleep deprivation", said Ms Alexander.
Exercise, keeping regular sleeping and waking hours and creating a restful bedroom environment can all help with sleep problems, according to The Sleep Council.
